The Night I Brought Another Man Home for My Boyfriend and Me to Share

When you have been with someone for a long time, there comes a time when things get stale and the mind starts to wander. In your mind, comfort zones expand, and curiosity gets the juices flowing. For my boyfriend and me, that curiosity turned into reality on a night we will never forget. That was the night I brought another man home for us to share.

It wasn’t something we did lightly. Opening our relationship even for one night takes trust, honesty, and lots of communication, along with a desire to step into the unknown knowing you both will come out together on the other side. That night was not just about our curiosity or a need for more spice; it was about exploring our relationship as a couple.

My boyfriend and I had been hinting around about bringing another person into our bedroom. We would see a story online about another couple bringing a man into their relationship, or when we were feeling adventurous, a few “What Ifs,” and then it wouldn’t come up until the next time.

Fantasies don’t just disappear, though; they simmer. One night, while we were getting ready for bed, I just blurted it out… “Would you actually want to do it?”  He looked at me with a question in his eyes. I said, “Bring another man to play with.” He answered quickly, “Yes!”.

While we were having drinks, I realized there was definitely the right vibe with this guy. We had agreed that if I was feeling it, I would be the one to suggest this bedroom adventure.
