I was sad being single at that party.  My favorite date night is New Year’s Eve! I love to wear a short sequin dress and heels with bright red nails and lips. The champagne flowing, the excitement of a brand new year. The Midnight Kiss. It’s one of my favorite traditions!  This year, I decided to find the right man to woo with my feminine wiles. No clue that the best sex of my life would be tonight. How could I have known? I will say, when I saw you, that should have been a clue! You are my type to the nines. Older than me, and obviously well refined. A man of taste. (I knew you’d love me.)  I saw no ego, but instead kind eyes. A crowd around you was fully enraptured with your storytelling. I wondered to myself what must be so interesting. As I observed you, my body began reacting in approval. Indeed, I should have known that this would escalate!

I placed myself strategically across the room, directly in your line of sight. It didn’t take long before your eyes found mine briefly, before darting quickly back to the small crowd of adoring listeners.  I rise to my feet slowly, facing you head on and looking directly at you. Champagne in hand, I saunter slowly in your direction. As I near the small group, your words peter out. Mid-sentence, you’re simply speechless. My red lips dawn an evil little half smile. “I seem to have left you with a loss for words.” I wink.

Our onlookers let out nervous chuckles as they ignore everyone but you.

Holding your gaze, I take your empty champagne glass from your fingers. “May I?” I say. My voice is sultry seduction, and my request question is redundant. With your glass in one hand and mine in the other, I turn on my heel and begin making my way towards the bartender. I don’t have to look behind me to know that you are following. Even with my back to you, I can feel your presence as you join me. Glancing up to the clock, I realize, we’re but moments from midnight! I turn to face you, handing you your glass, and you promptly place it back down on the bar top. With a little smile and not a word, you tilt my chin up to you with your fingertips and begin to kiss me.

I hardly even notice the commotion as midnight strikes. My sultry seduction worked a little too well!

And it didn’t just work on you. On one hand, I really just wanted a kiss at midnight, for the sake of tradition. I didn’t expect my heart to be pounding and my head to be swooning at the feeling of being in the arms of a man like you. But the Chemistry between us was undeniable, and the urgency of that kiss was unmatched. As it finally slowed, your lips barely parted from mine as you whisper, “Do you want to get out of here?” At that, we hurried for the nearest exit!

We fell in love that night.

Indeed, it was the sexiest, most romantic night of my life! Sultry seduction paid off completely. How I could happen upon someone so very well suited is still beyond me? Indeed, maybe fate is a thing. Maybe chemistry is what really makes relationships. It felt different than anything I’d ever experienced before. So intense and new. (Kind of like my first sapphic encounter) Finally, as you lay me down that night, it was nothing short of pure ecstasy! I know you would say the same. Our mouths, our bodies, or our minds. All in sweet synchronization. It was a magical night, and just the first of many.
