It’s been a long day for June Anderson. It’s Friday, cold, and time for gin and tonic…or three. She stops by Teddy’s, her local dive. She pulls out the ripped leather stool and sits down, imagining she’s at a beach somewhere and without ice caked onto her snow boots. June orders her usual, and then one of her favorites comes on the jukebox. Her relaxation continues until she hears the bar start to fill up behind her, and loud whispers of some big party. “A party could be fun,” she says aloud to herself. A man walks up and replies, “A party does sound fun, and I know it will be, because it’s mine.” She smiles uncontrollably. He’s hot as fuck. “You’re invited,” he says, slapping a flyer down in front of her as he glides away. Not knowing this would become a Christmas Eve Orgy.
She was aware of how much she was behaving like some idiot fresh out of school. Already picturing the cool old Victorian house they would live in, as well as what breed of dog they would settle on. Hot, nice guys have this effect on June, and well, all of us. She could, however, let her imagination get hold of her at times. So then, she took a break scrolling through Zillow to look at the flyer. PARTY written in all caps. “He’s so fucking cool. Who makes flyers anymore?” she thought to herself. A Christmas Eve Orgy is what it would become, but for June, she still thought this man was an angel, and definitely not a big pervert like the rest of them. He couldn’t be. With those eyes! “It’s not just his looks,” she lied, relentlessly, to herself. ” I wonder who else he invited.”
Alas, it was the evening of the party! The night before Jesus’s birthday. He would soon look down from the heavens with judgment, as well as a little bit of jealousy. June was excited. She picked out the perfect dress along with all of the proper accessories that said “effortless, yet chic. Total mystery man! As the car pulls up, she takes a selfie, then a picture of the house, and then about 17 license plate photos of cars in the driveway. The door swings open, and finally, it’s… a hot guy? As Santa? June did not picture this. Moreover, she did not picture all of the other half-naked ladies and gentlemen that would be simultaneously running around, snorting lines, and fucking like bunnies. The door closed behind her. She looked around. Contemplating her very near future, she took a good, hard look at herself in the mirror. “It took you three hours to get ready for this. Fuck it. Why not. Hey, hot guy.
