Hook of the Month: It’s Fucking Ladies’ Day!

Seeing as tomorrow is International Women’s Day, I thought it only fitting to start a new tradition. Maybe not every month, but sometimes, I will be writing a little piece about my favorite dime piece of the moment. Some will be older, some younger, yet they will all be snappin’ necks and cashin’ checks like the best of them. When this thought rolled into my head, I knew, there was only one woman I could start this series with. Someone who had it all, done it all. A fearless goddess who is also, just too cute to boot. So let’s go back into a little sexy time loop to the one the only, Jane Fonda.  Some of you are confused and some of you see this very, very clearly. I’m here to explain, so do not worry!  Here’s your Hook of the Month!

Oh, Sweet Jane. You’re the Hook of The Month!

Born into the industry, she started with all the Girl-Next-Door movies, and she did it very well! Sexy as hell with somehow, the most vulnerable voice. You don’t know if you want to hold her, throw her in the bed, or just listen to that cute voice all night. Barefoot In the Park is girl crush overload. She’s sexy, sassy, charming, a little bossy, and looks great in a skirt! She had to be The first Hook of the Month! No one comes close. Don’t worry Dolly, you’re next! Though she started with these cute movies, she never stayed put. Ooo la la, she found a French husband. She became his wife, his muse, and more importantly for all of you….

Fucking Barbarella. Seriously, (Space) Hook of The Month!

Spoiler alert!  In the opening credits, she’s doing a space strip tease. She floating around and God, is she hot. She’s no longer just the girl next door…or is she? She still manages to have that innocence even while playing a sex spacewoman based on a comic book series. But wait, there’s more! She decides to leave her husband, come back to America and be a badass, and protest the war (Vietnam.) Even Nixon said, “What’s wrong with that Jane Fonda?” However, she just moved on to husband number two. But, of course, not before making her next movie that would win her, her first Oscar.

What does she play here? A fucking call girl. Because she’s goddamn Jane Fonda and she’s a badass in every which way possible. She becomes an activist, gets one of many cool haircuts, gets remarried, and embarks on another journey. They need money to fundraise. So what does the Hook of The Month do? She decides to make a workout video. Not just any workout video, the most purchased workout video of all time (yes, still) and make VCR companies a shit ton of money while she’s at it. NBD! Then she started a journey alone for a while. That is until she moved on to husband no. 3, TED TURNER.  There will never be enough space in the galaxy to fit the list of what makes Jane the greatest of all time. But here’s the start. Happy International Women’s Day!
