I Can’t Believe I was Outside, Naked, on a Bike!

The experience of standing amid a crowd of fully unclothed bikers shocked me. The crowd laughed and cheered while they waited for the World Naked Bike Ride to begin. The man next to me on his bike rode without any clothes except for a blue body paint strip, which covered his chest and a face that seemed to attract danger.

The experience of being naked next to this unfamiliar Adonis revealed a different type of excitement. Then we started to proceed forward together. A group of hundreds of people, who laughed and shouted, enjoyed their total freedom while they walked beneath the open sky. The experience combined elements of wildness, surrealism, and excitement. The sun absorbed into my exposed skin as I pedaled my bike through the world, which appeared to shine with new energy and greater power.

The crowd began to disperse when the path changed direction toward the extensive area, which contained trees and park space. A low sound reached my ears when he stopped his movement to follow me at a distance. But the combination of appreciation with interest and hunger created a single experience. My body melted into his instinctively, like it had been waiting for this moment ever since we first lined up with the crowd of riders. The entire experience felt more intense. The touch of his skin against mine, the sun warming the tops of my shoulders, the soft rustle of leaves brushing our legs.

The risk made every moment sharper. People could pass by on bicycles at any time. People could hear our conversation. I had the strangest urge to make this man lick my feet, just to see if he would. Then his mouth met mine. His breath came rough against my neck. The world became smaller until the naked bike ride disappeared from memory. The moment consumed us. Messy. Breathless. Everything.
