The Art of Submission

When someone mentions the word submission it’s often assumed that the word is negative and shows weakness.  Submission is the art of service. In fact is one of the most difficult things to do if done properly. It requires self knowledge, self sacrifice and dedication to whom you serve provided they are worthy. These three things sound simple but are very difficult to accomplish.

A good submissive must know what they bring to the table and must inform their Dominant of what they require to serve happily! The submissive must surrender and allow their Dominant to lead. It’s a beautiful partnership if done correctly! The submissive is in control and is an equally important part of a D/s relationship for without them the Dominant has nothing to offer. So now you begin to see tart of submission.

The Art of Submission Requires Self Knowledge

Knowledge of oneself is an ongoing evolution. Do you like pain? Perhaps undivided attention? Perhaps your pleasure is to serve by providing care to your Master/Mistress. What is your currency? What do you need to be happy and content in a D/s relationship.

This is the key to submission is self knowledge. My goal is to bring pleasure. If my Master/Mistress likes to give pain it’s my pleasure to receive it, If they like to have a clean home than I will provide perfection. If they are into bondage I will allow them to make me living art. Their pleasure is my own. I thrive with attention and praise and will work tirelessly in my service if rewarded with pleasure! I also strive to meet the expectations of my Master/Mistress to learn, grow, and evolve into the perfection they are molding me into! Their pleasure is mine and mine theirs. It’s beautiful and unending!

The Art of Submission Demands Self Sacrifice:

Self sacrifice in the D/s world is allowing your Master/Mistress to push your boundaries without breaking your will. It’s the very reason safe words are needed. A good Dominant will listen to her submissive and learn their good qualities and weaknesses and strive to help improve and balance them. Submission is an art.

If the sub is afraid of crowds the Dom may take them in public more while offering support to get them over that difficulty. If the Dominant wants to teach impact play they will start small like with ass spankings with their hands and work the sub up to the edge by using a crop without pushing too far and getting shut down. It can even be completing a cock training challenge. It’s a matter of trust. This is why Submission is a work of art and described as service. It’s self sacrificing. Trusting your Master/Mistresses to bring mutual pleasure and in turn, the Dominant also must trust the submissive to not allow them to push too far.

Submission requires Dedication:

Dedication to their Master /Mistress is paramount to any submissive in a D/s relationship. Dedication to service includes adapting to new things that may not be of interest to either one or the other.  This is why Submission The Art of Service must require mutual dedication.The Master/Mistress will make decisions that the submissive may not be interested in.

Your dedication to your Dominant and where they are leading comes into play.  The submissive may want to try knife play so the Dominant must learn these skills and be able to safely practice it with their submissives. Trust again is the key. The dominant must trust that the submissive will safe word if pushed too far and in turn the submissive must trust the Dominant to lead them to a place of mutual pleasure and contentment. Submission is the dedication to the improvement of each other must always remain in focus.
