Only a few weeks left of beach season and then it’s pumpkin spice season, so get your sun in while you can. More importantly, instead of having your weekly fling at the club, maybe try to meet someone worthwhile. Instead of some Memorial Day Fling! They can be someone to enjoy these last few weeks with but maybe look for something even longer lasting. The idea behind this is to share that end of season sadness with someone and make it really nice. Do all the things you both said you would do all season long and never did! It’s time to combine your lists and skip the late night bars and find someone to share your Sexy Summer Blues with.
However, why not do it up? You’ll be inside more soon, it will be darker earlier, and the socializing will be less constant. Why not get in a convertible and head out to downtown and be in a parade? Ok, maybe just watch, but at least you’ll be there having an experience with someone! You’ll have your regrets, but they won’t be those Sexy Summer Blues. These hot days often lead to lazy days and scummy nights. Someone to go with you to the museum when the dog days are at their worst is an opportunity to be out. Of course, you should enjoy an occasional margarita on a patio before they head back indoors! A romantic evening is always good!
It all depends on what you did with your time. Are you having feelings of regret on your couch watching tv, thinking of missed opportunities? Or are you thinking about how much you will miss those long days spent with someone amazing? Picture this. You’re at the park. You’re cuddling up on a blanket in the park feeling the heat break. Yes, you will miss the weather and the activities, but think of all the planning you can make for next Summer, with her. The places you will go! You’ll try new cuisines, go on road trips, visit friends, and make new ones. You’ll watch movies in the dead of next summer and share popcorn and it will be the best popcorn you’ve ever had. Hell, maybe you’ll go bowling after you have seen all the movies! Rent a cabin, have a bonfire, eat the marshmallows. Drink shitty sangria and have a ball. And you’ll do it all with your person. Don’t squander these last few weeks. Give yourself an opportunity to have a great FOUR seasons, not just an epic, one. Life is short. Go meet her, she’s waiting.
