Winter Storm Hookup – Getting Lucky at Random Hotel

Most folks aren’t fans of Winter.

Honestly, it isn’t my favorite season. The cold weather and winds that bite your skin when you are out running errands. Brrrr… Then there is the icy rain and piling snow that throws off our schedules. Is the fresh snow beautiful? Hell, yes. So, maybe a winter storm hookup might change my mind. I am visiting friends in another town and know I should head out early before the storm hits this area. Of course, my friends and I are having a blast hanging out, and I sleep in after staying up too late. Now, the storm warnings are a bit more serious, but I am a skilled driver and have confidence that I will get home safely.

Well, that is until I get closer to the actual storm wreaking havoc. Damn, it is crazy out here and hard to see with all the blowing snow. Luckily, I spotted a small hotel across the road. There are quite a few cars, but I need a safe place until this chaotic storm calms down enough for me to get back on the road.

And, at this point, a winter storm hookup is not on my mind.

When I walk into the hotel, I only see one gentleman talking to the clerk. They are discussing the weather and the rooms available. Whew, there are just a couple of rooms left for guests. They both look over at me and say, “Hello.” Holy cow, the man getting a room is sexy.
