Naughty Dental Assistant, so my day job I work in a dental office. I make ok money, not great money. Nothing’s better than more money! You see, I just resigned my lease for my apartment. Guess what? They upped my rent a few hundred dollars every month. If I don’t want to live on ramen noodles, I’m gonna have to ask for a pay raise.
This is not going to be easy for me to do at all. I’m still pretty new at my job, and now having to ask for a raise. That’s probably not gonna look too good. But what choice do I have?
So it has come to the big day to ask my boss for that raise, god I hope he is in a good mood. So I held my head up high and knocked on his office door… Knock, knock… He yells for me to “Come on in.” I’m ready to become his naughty dental assistant. So I enter his spotless clean office and she directs me to sit in a chair in front of him. As I sit down my skirt lifts up a little bit. So my boss then asks Heidi, what can I do for you?” By this time I am just sweating bullets and shaking. I told my boss, I know I’m new here, and really enjoy this job.
However, in order for me to keep it, I will need to make more money and for that to happen I will need to be a naughty dental assistant. My boss just glared at me. So I looked down at the floor, a bit embarrassed. I’m thinking, oh shit! Did I just fuck up my career here? After that, my boss then walks over and sits on the corner of his desk. He says to me… “Heidi you have not been here very long at all, takes a lot of nerve to ask for a pay raise already. Why do you think I should give you one?
My voice cracks and is really shaky, here goes nothing. “Sir, I really need to make more money for instance, I honestly can’t afford to live in my same apartment. I’m doing really well and trying really hard.” In other words, I feel it’s well deserved. I think to myself I have to turn into a naughty dental assistant for this raise.
However, my boss gives me an eye roll. Great this can’t be good. Fuck my life! I’m thinking, now he’s gonna fire me. My eyes start to glass up a little bit. He puts his hand on my thigh and asks “How much of a raise, Heidi?” I looked up at him and said 30% increase. My boss let out a loud burst of laughter. Ha Ha. My boss asks, “Are you fucking serious?” I replied with a very soft… “Yeah”.
I began to tell my boss that I was worth it and that I wouldn’t let him down! That I have a lot of fantastic credentials not to mention 2 degrees. I also told him that I’d be more than happy to be his personal naughty dental assistant. He lifted his eyebrows and seemed to be impressed with my speech and all of my answers to his hard as hell questions. In other words, I think I got this!
