Are you looking for an xxx confessions hotline where you can TRULY “say anything”? One of my catchphrases has become “I dare you to try and shock me,” but I want to hear your secrets regardless of shock value. I’ve always been “nosy.” The kind of person who relishes hearing juicy gossip, and reading other people’s text messages. Well, that is if they read them to me. Non-consensual snooping is just looking for trouble. And don’t get me wrong, I’ve done it. But that’s not the kind of “research” I like to do. I want to hear your confessions because I am genuinely interested in your life and in you.

My best friend lives across the country. Talking to him is always refreshing, not just because I like him particularly, but because I know he’ll be non-judgmental. Not just because he adores me, but because the reality is he’s not involved in my day-to-day life. He’s not enmeshed in the same day-to-day social circles, etc. And so whenever we talk, it’s like an xxx confessions hotline for me.

Talking to you is also like my xxx confessions hotline.

This secret confidante relationship we’ll share goes both ways. Nothing turns me on sexually or otherwise like mutual respect and reciprocity. And so, no matter what you tell me, I hold you and our conversations in special esteem. It’s no secret that I’m evangelical about the magic of phone sex. Not only is it the ONLY 100% safe sex, but it’s just different than any other kind of human interaction. How deep will we go during our confidential chat?

A few years ago, I called a hotline that I found while desperately googling different variations of “caring for my aging parent help” etc. I wasn’t really sure that my grandpa had dementia (although my grandmother often swore he did when she was alive), but it was the only free hotline that seemed relevant I could find. And the only hotline taking calls at 3 am, which is of course when I felt like I really needed to talk to someone. I felt like even though my friends cared, none of my peers could relate to my situation and I just wanted to talk to someone who did. But the lady on the phone was DEFINITELY not “xxx confessions hotline” material, to say the least. I felt like she was rushing me off the phone from the beginning, and she seemed appalled if I used a cuss word.

I felt disappointed. Miffed. But in the end, the best advice or sincere empathy I ever received at that time of my life was from my callers. They understood, and they had been in similar situations.

The other time I called a hotline, it was also not an xxx confessions hotline.

My partner had recently overdosed, and I was grieving. That sadness was also one for which I didn’t know anyone (not yet, anyway) who shared my experience. I didn’t even know what to Google. I wasn’t an addict, I wasn’t suicidal. Eventually, I settled on an LGBTQ hotline, and the woman who answered didn’t really know what to tell me. And, nice as she was, I’m sure she couldn’t hang for even one night of being a phone sex operator. I often say that I think phone sex should be covered by Medicare or Medicaid. Anyone who has had just talk phonesex with me knows I’m not joking.
