I know it’s not polite to listen.

But your apartment is so small. I can’t help but hear you on the phone. especially when you’re just out in the living room. You probably didn’t expect me to hear you. I was supposed to be in the shower. Well, I wasn’t in the shower. I had gotten out by then. You must have picked up the call while I was rinsing off. I know you were talking to your brother. Or maybe your buddy? I’m not completely sure, but I just know that you were talking about me. I heard you say, “She knows what she’s doing.”

Are you serious? me? You’re talking about me. to your guy friends? Oh my God. Are we there? I guess it has been that long. First, I just saw you every other weekend. I didn’t think it was anything that serious. We were doing the friends with benefits and situationship thing. I didn’t even spend the night for the first few months.

Now I catch you telling your guys, “she knows what she’s doing.” What do I know?  Go ahead, elaborate. Now I’m curious. You’ve got me pressing my ear to the bathroom door. I have it cracked a little bit, and as rude as it is now, I’m actually eavesdropping on your conversation.
